Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce
The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce seeks to improve the overall business climate for its members by undertaking actions and initiating programs which stimulate economic growth, ensure a high quality of life and promote sound governmental leadership. The organization consists of a pro-active group of concerned business people who provide leadership in addressing critical community issues and whose actions are intended to promote the area's economic growth and maintain its quality of life. The Chamber seeks to maintain a leadership role in the community through programs, services and events that will enhance the quality of life and economic well-being of Miami Beach and the tri-county area.
Since its inception in 1921, the Miami Beach Chamber's mission has been to provide community leadership to achieve economic growth in business and industry; improve the quality of community life in the community; reach consensus on major issues; represent the interest and advancement of its members; and promote responsible principles in the conduct of business and government. The Chamber has sought to promote the economic well-being of its citizens, to improve the quality of life for the entire community, and to communicate the view of the business community on major issues of public policy.
Today, the Chamber's mission is still to advance the economic, industrial, professional, cultural, educational, health, and civic welfare of the Greater Miami Beach Area; to encourage the growth of existing industries and businesses while giving all proper assistance to any new firms or individuals seeking to locate in the Greater Miami Beach Area; to support all those activities believed to be beneficial to the community and area; and to oppose those which might be detrimental. In general, the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce seeks to promote the welfare of all area citizens, following always those policies intended to accomplish the greatest good for the greatest number.
